What it is
Wordtune, from AI21 Labs, rewrites what you write. Select a sentence and it offers alternative versions that are shorter, longer, more casual or more formal, and it also corrects spelling and grammar and summarizes long texts. It works in its own editor and as Chrome and Edge extensions.
It suits people who mostly need help phrasing English, not drafting from scratch. The free Basic plan allows 10 rewrites and AI suggestions a day and 3 summaries a month, while grammar checks are unlimited. The paid Advanced plan raises those limits and Unlimited removes them; both start with a 3-day free trial.
Best for
- Finding a clearer or more formal way to say a sentence
- Summarizing long articles and documents
- Non-native English speakers writing emails
