What it is
Make, formerly Integromat and now part of Celonis, is a web-based automation platform. You build workflows called scenarios on a visual canvas by dragging in modules, by prompting, or through its MCP server from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, and you can test, debug and run them in the same view. It connects more than 3,000 apps and also lets you build AI agents that are given goals, tools and limits, with their reasoning visible.
The free plan includes 1,000 credits a month, and paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) add more credits and features. Usage is counted in credits per action, and steps that use Make's own AI provider can cost more credits, so heavy AI workflows need watching. The visual editor has more of a learning curve than simpler two-step tools.
Best for
- Building branching, multi-step automations on a visual canvas
- Operations teams that want to see every step of a workflow
- Setting up AI agents with goals, tools and limits
