What it is
Leonardo.Ai is a web app and API for generating images, video and audio. Alongside its own Lucid Origin and Lucid Realism models it offers third-party models such as FLUX, GPT Image, Ideogram, Nano Banana and Krea 2, with tools for editing, upscaling and background removal. Leonardo is owned by Canva, and its API is now the suggested home for developers moving off the remove.bg API.
It suits creators who want many models and fine control in one place. Web plans run on tokens: the free plan gives a daily allowance, and paid tiers add more tokens each month. API access is billed separately on a pay-as-you-go basis, so a web subscription does not cover it.
