ComfyUI is a visual editor where you connect models, prompts and processing steps as nodes on a canvas, so every step of a generation is visible and repeatable. It runs open image, video and audio models on your own machine through the free Comfy Desktop app, and it can also call partner models through the cloud. A large community shares custom nodes and workflows, and Comfy Agent can now build workflows for you.
It suits technical artists and developers who want full control. The software is free under the GPL-3.0 license, but the node interface takes time to learn and local use needs a capable GPU. Comfy Cloud runs workflows on hosted GPUs from $20 a month, and a developer platform deploys workflows as APIs.
